To celebrate this festival, we do decorations, bake a plum cake and gingerbread, arrange a feast with loved ones and sing carols together. Apart from desserts, this celebration seems incomplete without delicious beverages. One such drink is mulled wine which has a great significance with Christmas.
This traditional spicy drink has been associated with Christmas for ages and has become an indispensable part of the celebration. Mulled wine originated in Rome. The Romans did not want to waste the leftover wine and prepare this flavorful drink for winter.
They heat the red wine with some spices, sweetener, lime and orange. Therefore, this becomes a healthier version of red wine with full of flavour and aroma. Also, this drink is suitable to beat the winter breeze.
